Sale Terms & Conditions
| All sales are cash upon delivery. |
| For those businesses which have previously established credit with us, our terms are net due in 30 days from the date of the invoice. First shipment for new customers is always COD. |
| Past due accounts (over 30 days) will be charged a service charge of 1.5% (18% per annum). |
| Charge accounts 60 days past due will be revoked. |
| There will be a $25.00 fee for each returned check. |
| A 25% restocking fee and full invoice freight on original order shall apply for any items returned without good cause. |
Pricing
| All prices are FOB Salinas, California or Fallbrook, California and are subject to change without prior notice. |
| Prices assume purchase in full flat quantities only. |
| A $23 charge will apply to all orders requiring either a Phytosanitary Certificate or a Quarantine Certificate from the State of California. |
| A boxing & handling charge of $5.50 per box applies to all orders requiring boxing. This includes materials and transport to the airport. |
Shipping
Air freight & courier orders
| All UPS, FedEx, and air freight orders must be prepaid, charged on account or credit card. No orders will be shipped COD. |
| Air freight shipments will originate from San Jose, California (SJC) ONLY. Shipping days for air freight shipments are Tuesdays and Fridays. Special arrangements must be made to ship on other days of the week. |
| Orders must be received at least 72 hours prior to the requested ship date. Longer notices are appreciated whenever possible. |
| All air freight shipments will be sent Delta collect, unless otherwise requested. Airlines servicing the San Jose, California airport include Delta, American, Alaska, Northwest, Continental, and Southwest. |
Customer pick up orders
| For orders to be picked up in Salinas or Fallbrook: please make arrangements with our Distribution Department for your order 48 hours in advance of your anticipated pick-up. Longer notices are appreciated whenever possible. |
Delivered orders
| A handling charge of $1.50 per tray will apply to any delivered orders. Minimum order for delivery is 25 trays. Due to our heavy Spring shipping schedule we encourage you to arrange shipment 10-15 days in advance of your anticipated delivery time. |
| A refundable charge of $150.00 will be applied for each shipping rack required to deliver the order (80 liner flats per rack). The fee will be refunded ONLY when the rack is returned to Central Coast Growers, either at the time of delivery, or a later date. |
Guarantee/Claims
| We guarantee all plants to be healthy when shipped. |
| Our liability will not exceed the original purchase price. |
| NO CLAIMS ALLOWED UNLESS REPORTED IN WRITING WITHIN 5 WORKING DAYS FROM DELIVERY DATE. |
| We give no warranty, expressed or implied, as to the fitness for any particular use of the stock. |
Orders and Acknowledgments
| For best availability we recommend that orders be placed as early as possible. |
| Acknowledgments are confirmation that the order was received, but not a guarantee of plant availability. ALL orders are subject to crop limitations, weather, and inventory counts. |
| All orders will be confirmed, in writing, prior to shipment. |
| All orders will be processed on a first come, first serve basis. A written acknowledgment will be sent verifying receipt of your order. To better serve and satisfy our customers we will limit bookings to items that are currently in production. An approximate ready date will be listed for items scheduled for production later in the season, allowing you the opportunity to reorder at the appropriate time. |
| Orders held beyond the plant ready dates are not guaranteed for availability. Orders will be held for 7 days beyond the ready date, and you will be notified of additional items in production, allowing you to reorder. |
